The Montessori Child Development Centre

Licensing & Safety:
Our centre is fully licensed and approved for affordability grants and subsidies. We are regularly inspected by Health Inspectors and licensing officers in Alberta—both announced and unannounced. Inspection reports are always available and posted on our parent board for transparency and peace of mind.

Daily Learning and Play:
Each classroom follows a thoughtfully planned daily schedule that supports learning, play, and routine. Activities include art and crafts, circle time, free play, theme-based learning, outdoor play, literacy, and science activities. Room schedules are displayed in each classroom. So, families can see how children enjoy a fun and engaging day.

Idea Book – Your Ideas Matter!

We value parent involvement and feedback. Every room has an Idea Book where Edmonton families are welcome to share ideas for activities, themes, menus, or field trips. We love working together and do our best to include your suggestions whenever possible.

Open Communication :
We believe in strong communication between families and educators, which is essential to your child’s happiness and well-being. Parents are always welcome to share feedback and ask questions. They can easily discuss concerns with the Director or their child’s teacher.

We also provide a communication book at the centre. Also, we use the Brightwheel app to keep families updated on their child’s day, including activities, learning moments, and classroom themes.

Child-Led Programming:
Our program is child-centered and inspired by children’s interests. Educators observe what children are curious about. Then, plan engaging activities around those interests. Some of our themes include Dinosaurs, Transportation, Space, Animals, Plants, Family, Music, the Human Body, Winter Fun, and more.

We also celebrate special days and events in the Edmonton community, with children’s artwork and projects saved in individual folders to document their learning journey.

Community Connections:
From time to time, we welcome special guests and community helpers who share their experiences. It helps enrich the learning of children in a fun and meaningful way.

Outdoor Play, Field Trips :
Outdoor play is an important part of our daily routine. It takes place twice a day, weather permitting. We also plan occasional field trips and outings in Edmonton as part of our enhanced programming. Families are always notified in advance. They are asked to provide consent for off-site trips.

Toddler Program

Our Toddler Program is tailored for curious toddlers between 19 months and 3 years. This program builds on trust and care, while encouraging exploration and independence through hands-on activities and engaging play at our daycare in Edmonton.

Pre-School Program

In our Pre-School Program, children aged three to six years embark on an exciting voyage of discovery as they prepare for academic life ahead. Our Montessori curriculum in Edmonton offers an engaging learning environment that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and an eagerness for knowledge.

After-School Program

Within our commitment to holistic child development lies our after-school program for children aged 6 to 12 years. Offering safe and enriching environments where kids can continue exploring. We incorporate the cosmic curriculum of Montessori in our weekly programming for them, which is specifically prepared for the second plane of development, i.e. for children aged 6-12 years. Children are exposed to a wide range of educational disciplines, including math and language, as well as arts, sciences, and social sciences.
